The Omak Park Board discussed a phased plan for improvements to Veteran's Park and conducted a site visit on April 14 to inspect repairs and needed work.
Public Works Director Wayne Beetchenow and crewmember Jarrod Reed described recent work completed at the park. Chair Pat Pruitt shared a rough plan for larger improvements, said she had begun contacting other entities for ideas and assistance, and proposed breaking the project into phases. "She would like to break the project down into phases and set a completion date for phase 1 of November 11th for Veteran’s Day," the minutes state.
Board members left City Hall at 6:15 p.m. and reconvened at Veteran's Park to review the site and discuss repair priorities in person. The discussion identified needed repairs and the value of phasing the work to align with funding and volunteer availability; specific funding sources and dates beyond the phase‑1 goal were not specified in the minutes.
