Clovis airport says terminal fully funded; groundbreaking expected late October

"The mayor had received a text messages from the senator, stating that we were awarded the final funding for the terminal construction," Amanda said; staff and commissioners described the award as covering the terminal, apron, parking lot and landscaping.
The board named EPX as the recommended contractor, and staff said they are working with the senator's office to set a groundbreaking date targeted for the last week of October. Mayor (Speaker 3) praised the partnerships and said the new facility "will be a fixture in our community for decades to come," noting cooperation from state and federal aviation partners had strengthened the grant application and secured full funding for the full project rather than a scaled-down version.
Staff said the full funding avoids a phased build and allows the city to proceed with the design and construction as presented to the commission.
