Linda York, attending her first meeting, told the Village Board the Thorndale and Hattendorf reconstruction is taking too long and producing unsafe conditions, including nails and wires left on sidewalks and a reported tire blowout.
“I've got a a blowout tire already,” York said, describing debris she said she collects while walking her dog and reporting intermittent episodes of black water from faucets. Board members acknowledged the project includes full water, sewer and street reconstruction, said the contract is managed by engineering and development services, and asked York to work with Kristen for follow-up.
