The Omak City Council unanimously affirmed Mayor Cindy Gagné’s appointment of Alexandra Kenyon as the city attorney on May 4, 2026 after interviewing three firms. Member Steve Clark moved to affirm the appointment; Member Dave Womack seconded the motion and the council voted to approve it.
Kenyon, of Kenyon Disend (Issaquah), addressed the council and described the firm’s focus on municipal law. "Kenyon Disend only practice municipal law and the city has a great staff of those she met," she told the council. City Administrator Todd McDaniel told the council the firms interviewed included Ogden Murphy Wallace and Davis Arneil as alternatives. The approved agreement bills in one‑tenth‑hour increments and carries no retainer fee, per the contract terms presented to the council.
