The Selectboard on Aug. 10 authorized a contract amendment with Dufresne Group and voted to apply for a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) loan amendment to identify and investigate 236 service lines where material is unknown. Town Manager Scott Pickup said the town must perform on‑site potholing to verify customer‑side material and meet annual reporting requirements and noted the regulatory deadline for replacement is 2037.
Pickup described increasing the engineering allocation from approximately $90,000 to $267,500 to fund on‑site investigations; he emphasized that SRF engineering funds will cover investigations, but that future replacement costs for private service lines are not yet funded. The Board approved both the contract authorization and the SRF application motions 4‑0.
