The Dare County Board of Commissioners agreed Aug. 10 to shift its September meeting date from Sept. 9 to Sept. 1. The chair proposed the date change to avoid conflicts with holiday schedules and commissioners approved the adjustment unanimously after a brief exchange.
The chair said the change would help avoid people being on vacation around the originally scheduled date; a motion to change the date was made and seconded and the board recorded unanimous approval. The board will reconvene on Sept. 1 as its next regular meeting.
