Trent Doolittle (project manager) introduced the team and Shannon Jones and Jeff Weber walked the committee through proposed sign types: vertical monument signs using railroad-rail profiles, horizontal ID signs, vehicular directional signage, pedestrian directionals, trail markers, etched-in sidewalk treatments and trail maps. Weber described the proposed family of signs and how they could be scaled across locations; Jones noted durable materials such as Corten steel and powder-coated metal for color elements.
Committee members praised the proposals and emphasized context-specific placement. The Chair and staff agreed no formal vote was needed tonight; Stantec will detail the concepts into specifications that can be taken to manufacturers.
