Bandera EDC highlights upcoming homecoming, county fair and board vacancy

Board members and residents used the meeting to share community announcements, including plans for a county fair scheduled Oct. 13–18 and a film crew that will be in town to document Bandera's homecoming. One presenter encouraged property owners to prepare storefronts because the documentary crew will be filming during homecoming.
The EDC also reminded the board that a seat opened when a member (Debbie) resigned and staff posted the vacancy on Facebook and the city website; as of the meeting, no applications had been received. Board members said they would approach potential candidates directly and keep the posting open until filled.
"There is a, film company coming to do a documentary on Bandera small town homecoming stuff that is coming," a board member said, encouraging community participation and coordination with the ISD on parade timing.
