EDC postpones administrative services agreement until after city election
Summary
To avoid renegotiation after a likely change in city council membership, the EDC postponed voting on an administrative services agreement and will reconsider it at the next board meeting after the election.
Staff recommended delaying consideration of an administrative services agreement with the City of Bandera until after the upcoming city election, to avoid negotiating terms twice if council membership changes. The presenter said she "felt like with the election right around the corner ... I would hate to have to renegotiate terms and waste everybody's time twice. So I think this should wait till your next meeting after the election."
Committee member (S6) moved to postpone action on the agreement; the motion was seconded and passed. The board will revisit the administrative services agreement after the election so a finalized council can consider the terms.
