La Casa gains drivers, plans transportation for conference trip

La Casa Senior Center reported a staffing improvement in transportation and plans for a conference trip in October.
"We now have 2 full time drivers, Monday through Bridal. And we also have a relief driver from 9 to noon," Liz Krauthammel (speaker 3) said, describing daily route stability and how extra drivers allow the center to expand activities and fill calendars. Krauthammel said the center is planning travel for the October conference on aging (Oct. 27-29), with nine Clovis participants and six from Portales and that the center will provide most of the transportation support by filling a bus and following vehicles.
