The Red Oak City Council approved a professional-services agreement with Friese Nichols Inc. to prepare a master plan for Live Oak Park, a roughly 175‑acre study area that would link Red Oak Road south to the baseball/softball complex and consider connections to Cherry Creek Nature Preserve.
City planning staff recommended approval; staff said the contract amount is $197,511 and that the consultant’s contract allows completion in six months though staff expects more time for back-and-forth with the city. The study will analyze circulation, parking, vehicular access, amenities and connections to existing parks and trails. Council voted to adopt resolution 26-041R approving the agreement (vote 4–0).
