"I applied for funding back in '22 for vehicles for the senior center. Those grants have been approved and we are waiting for award letters," Miss Reagan (speaker 1) said, adding that the two requested transport vehicles total $175,000. She also said the south half of the parking lot and a covered east-side patio were approved by Aging & Long Term Services and would be included in the agency's October capital outlay request; if retained, the project could be placed on the general obligation bond in November. Miss Reagan estimated the pair of projects at "about $500,000," though another committee member later recalled a figure closer to $550,000.
Miss Reagan outlined a rough timeline: award letters for vehicles should come within months after the agency issues them, contracts would follow, and vehicle procurement could take six months to a year depending on manufacturers. For the parking/patio, she said inclusion in the capital outlay request and passage of a November bond vote would put construction planning on track for mid-2025.
