Ely board approves bus driver hire, accepts cafeteria aide resignation and multiple lane changes

The School Board of Independent School District No. 696 approved several personnel actions at its Feb. 10 meeting. The board hired Greg Rozier for a part‑time bus driver position (3.5 hours per day, five days per week, student contact days), effective Jan. 2, 2025. The motion was included in the Personnel Consent Agenda and carried as part of the bundled approval (vote: 5–0).
The board also accepted the resignation of Michele Milton from the Cafeteria Aide position effective Feb. 9, 2025. In addition, the board approved lane change requests for three staff members as recorded in the minutes: Andrea Thomas (MA Step 11 $77,653 → MA+17 Step 11 $79,270), Clara Roy (BA Step 6 $59,003 → BA+24 Step 6 $60,938), and Amanda Faulkner (BA Step 9 $65,910 → BA+24 Step 9 $66,748). These actions were approved together under the Personnel Consent Agenda (moved by Westlund, seconded by Coombe).
