Hunter's Crossing resident urges council for clearer homeowner outreach after LGC changes

Ben Coleman, a member of the Local Government Corporation (LGC) board and a Hunter's Crossing homeowner, told the Bastrop City Council at a special meeting on Dec. 16 that homeowners have been left without information about recent governance changes. "Putting out my resident of Hunters Crossing hat, we've received 0 information from the HOA as to what this means for us both for amenity access and financially," Coleman said during public comment.
Coleman said transfers of LGC property and moves to dissolve the LGC have proceeded quickly "without any outreach to the Hunter's executive session, and no further information was disclosed to the homeowners," leaving residents uncertain about the status of outstanding capital debt and homeowner representation on boards. "The resolution that has been tabled states that City Council will have the best interests of the PID in mind," he added, urging the council to provide clearer communication and to re-establish homeowner representation or another avenue for resident input. The council subsequently tabled the agenda item related to these issues for further consideration at a future meeting.
