Trustee Ramos (S3) delivered the April sewer treatment plant operations report at the May 4 meeting, providing operations metrics and maintenance updates.
"Daily average down there was 769,000 gallons a day," Ramos said, noting 2.5 inches of rain that month increased flows. He reported pump stations functioning, routine sample submissions to DEC, scheduled clarifier light work beginning in June and recurring sludge removal, and said DPW work on a recent sewer repair on Main Street reduced costs through coordination. Ramos also promoted veterans' programs that provide welding training and asked for volunteers for the Children's Fishing Derby on June 13.
The board recorded these operations updates and encouraged residents to sign up to help at the derby; no operational policy changes or capital approvals were made at the meeting.
