Resident urges weekend police presence to deter reckless motorcycles; raises water-quality complaint

At the public-comment portion of the May 4 meeting, resident Dave McMark (S5) asked the village to coordinate with town police to station officers near the town garage on weekend mornings to curb dangerous motorcycle driving and hand out information on penalties.
"Put 2 cops up by the town garage and just stop the motorcycles," McMark said, adding that the goal was education rather than mass ticketing. He also raised a separate issue of discolored water in his house and offered to have VRI test the supply. Mayor DeSalvo (S1) said VRI would be contacted and indicated the public-works team would follow up.
Trustees acknowledged enforcement and infrastructure issues will require interagency coordination; no formal directive or ordinance to change patrol patterns was adopted at the meeting.
