The Huron City Commission approved a quitclaim deed transferring Lot 4 of the Southbound Addition to the Greater Huron Development Corporation and authorized the mayor to sign the deed. City staff indicated the lot will be used for future home construction and discussed a cash offer to purchase.
A city staff member described the lot's location as south of the water tower on the west side of Frank Avenue and said interested parties may begin construction in the coming seasons. The commission moved, seconded and approved the conveyance by roll-call vote.
The deed and certificate of real estate value were authorized so the city can transfer title to facilitate residential development on the parcel.
