The Tea Area School District 41-5 board accepted resignations and approved new hires during the August meeting as the district finalized staffing for the school year.
The superintendent presented resignations including Taylor Sickler (SPED), Kirsten Hansen, Mary Koppel (transportation), Maddie Morris (SPED para) and Joanna Kahooik (senior admin assistant). The board approved a slate of hires: Morgan Ackerson (new 2nd‑grade section, Frontier Elementary), Theresa Davies and Jane Hanson (food service, Frontier), Caitlin Spracklin and Kelly Shields (SPED paraprofessionals), Melissa Rickett (admin assistant, Frontier), Casey Hunter (part‑time nurse, high school), Morgan Johnson (middle‑school counselor), Rebecca Hieronymus (assistant, 1‑act play) and Jared Pigott (7th grade assistant football). The board moved, seconded and approved the personnel actions by voice vote.
Board members noted the district continues to monitor enrollment and staffing as the year begins.
