He reported roof damage at the middle school and bus barn, a rooftop handler at Legacy Elementary that was lifted and returned by crane, and damaged playground fencing; repairs to Titan Stadium fencing and the Titan Gate are scheduled.
On insurance, the superintendent said EMC identified the middle school deductible as "1% of the insured value of the building, and that's approximately $230,000." He added that unless repair bills exceed that deductible, the district will not file a claim and will self‑fund repairs.
The superintendent recognized custodial, maintenance and athletic staff and community volunteers for rapid response and said the district is pursuing phased facility improvements and planned fixes after students arrive.
