Council approves small change orders for Harmonville Fire Station rebuild

Plymouth Township Council approved two small change orders Aug. 10 for the Harmonville (Harmondale) Fire Station rebuild project, increasing the contract by $779.63 and $1,088.08 respectively.
Councilmember Nelson moved the first change order to provide and install acoustical batt insulation between the radio room and apparatus bay; Nelson said the $779.63 increase is within the previously authorized manager‑approved change order limit. A second change order reported by Nelson was to provide a 6‑inch round duct from the wash/dryer room to an exterior wall to accommodate a future dryer cabinet; that item increased the contract by $1,088.08 and likewise fell within manager‑approved limits. Council took roll‑call votes and recorded unanimous approval on both items.
Council noted these were routine construction adjustments and that the amounts are small relative to the overall rebuild contract.
