Beaufort County opens ATAX grant cycle; mandatory workshop set for Aug. 11

Beaufort County announced that applications for the fiscal-year 2026–2027 State Accommodation Tax (ATAX) grant program will open soon and that attendance at a mandatory workshop is required for applicants.
The broadcast said, "Attendance at the state a tax grant workshop is mandatory for all applicants. Each applicant organization must have at least 1 representative attend a required workshop to be eligible to apply for funding." The mandatory workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, 08/11/2026 at 9:00 a.m. in the Beaufort County Council Chambers at 100 Reebaugh Road in Beaufort. The application window closes at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, 09/11/2026; incomplete applications or those without workshop representation will not be accepted. Questions were directed to atax@bcgov.net and a press release was posted on the county website.
