During the second public-comment period, Robert Isom (speaker 7) told the board he and neighbors have raised concerns about an unfinished crosswalk project that would improve student walking routes. Isom said engineers "have booked in this and approved their design" for a crosswalk between Haythorn and Lafayette Avenue near Little Bear and asked the board what has happened to the project funding after July passed.
Isom also asked whether the board would consider changing its public-comment policy to give residents more time to speak. Chair reminded him the three-minute limit is board policy and suggested discussion could follow if the board chooses to revisit the rule.
