Administration presented the Vigo County RISE evaluation rubric and asked the board to reaffirm its use for the coming school year. Michael Cox (speaker 5) described the three domains and weightings: "Domain 1...15%," "Domain 2...75%," and "Domain 3...10%," and said the rubric is scored on a 1-to-4 scale and has been in place for several years.
Cox summarized last year’s evaluation roll-up for the 25-26 cycle: among the 15 teachers reflected in the summary, the transcript reports 85% classified as highly effective, 13% effective and a transcript phrasing of "point 7%" for improvement necessary. He said administration has formed a committee with teachers and administrators to revamp the evaluation tool over the coming year and will bring recommendations back to the board.
