Jennifer Hering, director of student services, reported that the Student Services Manual was shared with staff to clarify procedures and that the district is seeking a bilingual speech pathologist and pursuing direct hires. "Efforts continue to strengthen speech and language services, including pursuing a bilingual speech pathologist and working toward direct hires. Two candidates have applied," the minutes state.
Hering also reported a shift to electronic communications and summarized recent CPI training: 27 staff trained at Steger Primary Center and 75 staff trained districtwide. The report was entered under Student Services during the regular reports portion of the meeting and no formal board action followed.
