Aileen Gingold, president of the Jericho Joint PTA Council, summarized PTA activities and recent community donations before the board considered four acceptance motions.
The board accepted: Jackson PTA’s $1,205.75 gift for a BOCES arts and education program at Jackson; the middle‑school PTSA donation to cover a speaker on adolescent substance effects (scheduled Jan. 14); a chairs donation from Frontier Behavioral Services LLC to support the Cool Beans Lounge for students; and a $2,000 gift from JRRS PTA for the Limitless Learning LLC 'Leader in Me' program at JRRS. The chair moved and the board approved acceptance of all four donations by voice vote (5‑0).
Board members and administrators described the Cool Beans Lounge as new student space with lounge seating and clarified hours and eligibility (high school students on free periods). Trustees thanked PTAs and community partners for the contributions and acknowledged the funds and in‑kind gifts will support programming and student services.
