Chief Hatfield presented the police department's upgrade to an Axon ecosystem of tools intended to improve transparency, evidence handling and supervisory oversight. He told the commission the department received 251 My90 responses between March and December 2025 and that ‘‘72% of the residents rating their experience as very positive.'’ Hatfield said the system combines body‑worn cameras, holster sensors that auto‑activate cameras when a firearm is drawn, real‑time operations monitoring and TASER 10 devices that add distance and de‑escalation features.
Commissioners praised the department's use of data and community feedback and discussed opportunities to publicize performance data. Staff said resident text feedback and My90 will inform training and deployment decisions. The chief also played a short demonstration clip showing an officer connecting a resident to a supervisor via the system.
