Board receives congressional recognition and unions announce senior scholarship

A representative speaking on behalf of Jericho Principals Association, Jericho Curriculum Associates Association, the Jericho Teachers Association, the Civil Service Employees Association and Learning Center Instructors Association thanked the board and said the unions will award a scholarship to a graduating senior to be presented at senior awards night.
Board members thanked the bargaining units and staff for the recognition. The president also named Rita Dolce and thanked staff who organize district presentations and board materials.
The recognitions were ceremonial but included a concrete pledge from bargaining units to fund a scholarship for a graduating senior.
