Chair told the board that Warren County Planning needed a $250 application fee for an Empire State Development Corporation sewer grant application and that the town agreed to prepay to enable timely submission. He said, "They needed a $250 application fee, so ahead of the meeting, we basically said, well, if we're gonna take some heat, we'll take some heat over a $250 application fee."
Board members moved and seconded the resolution to prepay the fee and approved it by voice vote. The chair said the prepayment was intended to assist the county's grant submittal for sewer work and that the town would absorb the modest cost to expedite the process.
