Riverkeeper River Sweep set for May 3 at Riverfront Park

Mr. Horvath announced that Johnsburg will host a Riverkeeper River Sweep at Riverfront Park on May 3 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., inviting volunteers of all ages to participate. "This is a great thing for our town," he said, and noted the town is one of the most northern sites participating in the Hudson River event.
Volunteers will do gardening, tree planting and shoreline cleanup along the Rotary Trail; participants can sign up through Riverkeeper's site or simply come to the park and sign a waiver with Mr. Horvath. The board acknowledged the announcement and thanked Mr. Horvath for organizing the effort.
