City manager outlines Brownfield grant timeline and plans for website/streaming upgrades

City Manager Rob briefed the council on several administrative items: new gateway signs are being installed and receiving positive feedback; the Brownfield grant application opens the next day with a 30-day submission window and awards expected by Sept. 11; and staff are preparing for upcoming ADA website compliance requirements. "The Brownfield grant opens tomorrow. Have 30 days to get it submitted... We'll know by September 11," Rob said.
Rob also described exploration of a more integrated meeting-management and web platform that would support time stamping, searchable transcripts, and integration with social media and email notifications to reduce duplicated work across platforms. He said the city is negotiating pricing and hopes to keep costs similar to current expenditures while upgrading aged hardware and software.
