Staff presented a revised CIP that highlights road reconstruction, drainage improvements and continued sidewalk expansion. "This does include $1,500,000 for the standardization and restructuring of Old Engleton Road from the point at which it transitions from asphalt to concrete just south of Bunkies all the way back to Main Street," the presenter said.
The presenter described a 12‑zone geographic approach to spread the city's larger $500,000,000 total CIP need across a multiyear schedule and noted nearly five miles of new sidewalk completed year‑to‑date. Drainage priorities include improvements to Penn Money Channel and ditch work to move water away from key intersections; staff said some projects will be moved from year 1 to year 2 to manage costs and capacity.
