Shoreham trustees approve minutes, finances, multiple building rentals and a $7,500 assessment contract

The Shoreham Board of Trustees approved routine administrative items Wednesday, including prior meeting minutes and the village financials. Unpaid operating bills audited by the board totaled $36,794.89; payroll for the month totaled $18,193.07 and total operating expenditures were recorded as $54,987.96. Trustees approved the financials on a 4–0 vote (moved by Trustee Thomas McManus; seconded by Mayor Thomas P. Spier).
The board also approved several facility rentals: a Flannery family event on Aug. 22, 2026 (an additional hour at the overtime rate of $500 for a total of nine hours), an Oct. 17, 2026 upper-level rental for Charis Meng and Gregory Killeen (fee $2,000 and $1,000 security deposit), and Shoreham Country Club's lower-level meeting on Feb. 22, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Trustees unanimously approved a proposal from Municipal Valuation Services Inc. for assessment services for $7,500; Mayor Spier congratulated Clerk Laura Spillane for saving the village $500 on that proposal.
