The Board of Trustees appointed resident Sherry Neff as Beach Lifeguard Commissioner to serve at the pleasure of Mayor Thomas P. Spier, effective March 11, 2026. The appointment was approved 5–0.
Trustee Mariann Coogan said she has contacted last year’s lifeguards and at least one has agreed to return; she told the board that raises will be discussed at the next executive meeting to keep seasonal pay competitive with other employers. "Resident Sherry Neff has graciously offered to serve as our Beach Lifeguard Commissioner," Coogan said. The board did not set pay changes at the meeting; discussion is planned at the next executive/board meeting.
