The board moved and approved a resolution to fill a budgeted, part-time transfer-station attendant position. Committee members said adding a second person at the transfer station is necessary to smooth operations, guide residents on disposals and manage recycling and garbage flow. “This is a necessity at this point,” a committee member said, adding the item was already included in the budget and would not require new money.
Separately, trustees agreed to advertise for a highway CDL driver after noting a current highway employee is leaving; the board decided to run separate ads for the two positions so recruitment can proceed promptly. The board directed staff to prepare full resolutions and advertising as appropriate.
