During the standing-committees discussion at the organizational meeting, Ms. Bowers told the board she was "really disappointed" that she learned by email she had been removed as chair of the occupancy-tax committee and publicly asked to be reinstated.
"I am asking publicly that I be reinstated as the occupancy tax chair," Ms. Bowers said, pressing the board for a reversal. S1 responded that Dave Putnam is the chair and explained the administration's request that Ms. Bowers focus on marketing and exploring the potential for a chamber of commerce given the North Creek Business Alliance no longer exists.
Board members discussed the need for better communication when committee assignments change and agreed to produce a populated committee list for inclusion in the next meeting packet and to post committee contacts on the town website. No formal vote to change committee chairs occurred; S2 said she would continue to press the issue at future meetings.
