Board confirms 2025 appointments, designates legal counsel

The Johnsburg Town Board approved a series of 2025 appointments and designated the town's legal counsel during its January meeting.
Supervisor read the appointments into the record: Zoning Officer William Welch; Animal Control Bill Mosher; Safety Officer Peter Oliszewski; Water Clerk duties to be split between Danae Tucker and Joanne Morehouse; and Youth Bureau Liaison Peter Oliszewski. Supervisor also noted the town does not currently have a health officer and said he would follow up.
The board then approved a separate resolution to designate the law firm Miller, Mannix, Schaffner and Schachner and Hafner as the town's legal counsel. Both the appointments package and the legal‑counsel designation were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
The historian appointment was handled in a later vote: Supervisor brought a resolution appointing Dina Wood as town historian; the board approved that appointment as well.
