County staff reported that the employee artery-ultrasound screening served 127 people, slightly below the anticipated 150, and that most participants had normal results.
Emergency Manager George Mauldin said roughly seven people were advised to seek follow-up care based on their findings. The screenings took about 5–10 minutes per participant, and the county is considering offering the service again to continue early detection efforts.
Committee members noted that short, on-site screenings can identify potential issues early and reduce future health problems for employees.
