The Village of Sodus Point accepted the preliminary engineering report on its water system at the Dec. 19 meeting. Mayor McDowell said the board will complete the State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) and begin applying for funding in the spring; the village has requested a proposal to assist with SEQR and grant-application tasks.
Trustees previously tabled parts of the preliminary engineering discussion pending a presentation from Barton & Loguidice, the engineering firm referenced in meeting minutes. No formal funding awards were made at the meeting; the board signaled intent to seek external grant and loan sources in 2025.
