During the April 6 meeting the board reviewed three applications to provide garbage collection in the Village of Stonington. Trustee Tammy Wilson moved, Trustee Jeff Graham seconded, and the board approved Cleeton's Sanitation Service (Tovey), Carey's Disposal (Mt. Auburn) and Area Disposal Service Inc., a GFL Environmental company, to gather garbage in the village; the motion passed 5-0.
Board members did not attach additional conditions in the motion recorded in the minutes. The approvals were entered on the consent-style portion of the agenda following the auditor appointment and routine reports.
