McGraw Fire Station awarded grants for dry hydrant and turnout gear; town to seek approvals

Councilperson Shawn Reed reported the McGraw Fire Station received a grant to fund a dry hydrant installation to be pursued this spring; the town is pricing materials and seeking approval from the forest ranger, and the state will cover half of the installation cost. Reed also said the station received a $108,000 grant to buy ten sets of turnout gear, update extraction tools (described as over 30 years old), add 2,000 feet of new hose and nozzles, and acquire a gear washer and cabinet dryer to speed gear decontamination and drying.
The board did not record any formal motions related to the grants during the meeting. Reed said Judge Edsall will reach out to perform a court audit related to the judge's prior interim service; the court reported receipts of $431.00 for December.
