The Chazy Union Free School District Board unanimously approved March 10 a NYSPHSAA Section VII combining-of-teams application to merge Chazy Central Rural School with Beekmantown Central School District for the sport of girls modified flag football for the 2025-2026 school year. The motion was made by Jason Bruce and seconded by Tim Howley.
Minutes state the board authorized the Superintendent and Board President to sign the application and noted there will be no additional cost to the district beyond league administrative fees. Approval allows students from both districts to compete as a combined team under NYSPHSAA regulations for the remainder of the season.
