MNI Homes' representative says company is addressing a dewatering complaint as Montclair Section 2 is introduced

Brett Huff of Kimley‑Horn introduced Montclair Section 2 as a preliminary floodplain/culvert request: the project requires a culvert to cross an open ditch and includes the required 3:1 compensatory storage. The county consultant Clark Dietz recommended approval to the surveyor's office and staff presented the item as a preliminary introduction to the board.
Board members raised a recent complaint from a nearby homeowner about dewatering and effects on a pond and a 14‑foot well. Jason Coyle of MNI Homes said the company had pumped water back into the affected pond and was continuing to work with the homeowner to resolve the issue: "We have, just recently pumped water into his pond...we are continuing to work with that individual to make him happy. We wanna be good neighbors to him," he said. The board asked MNI to continue outreach and to make sure all required performance sureties and paperwork are submitted before permit pickup.
