Tri-County rolls out ParentSquare at elementary schools; cybersecurity assessment underway

District technology and administrative staff told the board they are rolling out ParentSquare at the elementary schools to consolidate parent communication and reduce the number of apps parents must manage. The district said it will transition delay and cancellation messaging during the move to the new platform and that a phased roll-out is planned.
As part of security planning, staff completed a digital discovery tied to an SLCGP cybersecurity grant and scheduled an in-depth review on Oct. 22 with Purdue-affiliated cyber specialists to probe network and security posture. “We're excited that we are rolling out at the elementary's parent square,” a staff member said when previewing the communications rollout.
