Administration presented an updated teacher-evaluation process and supporting materials that overhaul the Domain 2 rubric (effective instruction). The superintendent told the board the team collaborated with the Tri-County Classroom Teachers Organization and administrators to streamline the indicators, reduce redundancy and add 'look-for' evidence examples for classroom observations.
“I think there were 11 indicators before, and we got it to 4,” the superintendent said when summarizing the changes. The board approved the process as the mechanism for evaluations; the vote was announced as in favor by voice and recorded as passing with the full board present.
