School resource officer outlines security upgrades, visitor management and training

“Since the board meeting last month, I’ve attended 14 different meetings, 10 26 hours of training, did go and assist 1 other department, and had 12 after hour calls,” the officer said, summarizing summer activities. He also described outreach about specialized bus-driver training and the possibility of in‑house instructor certification for active-threat response to keep training available long‑term.
