The Lewisville ISD Board of Trustees voted to deny a grievance related to student discipline during closed-session proceedings on June 8, 2026. The board first recorded a motion to deny the grievance and to direct the administration to immediately review the discipline if circumstances change; that motion (moved by Katherine Sells, seconded by Jenny Proznik) carried 6-0-1.
Late in the meeting trustees again denied a related grievance and directed the superintendent to review the student''s placement at the end of the fall semester. That motion (moved by Madison Lopez, seconded by Dr. Staci Barker) carried unanimously, 7-0. Both actions were taken after closed-session deliberations authorized under the Texas Government Code and were recorded in the meeting minutes rather than discussed in open session.
