Business official says state budget brings 2% Foundation Aid; grants and copier purchase noted

At the June 4 meeting, School Business Official Denise Wist briefed the board on fiscal items tied to the enacted state budget and district operations. Wist said the state budget that passed May 20 provides the district with a 2% Foundation Aid increase. She also confirmed the district received a Farm to School grant, noted the yearbook vendor change reduced yearbook cost by half, and said district staff are completing address reviews for school income verification.
Wist told the board that the electric-bus timeline requirement has been pushed further out and that the voter-approved copier purchase will proceed. She distributed paperwork on the enacted budget, fund balance and reserves for board review.
