The Cherry Valley‑Springfield Central School District Board of Education on April 2 approved a $15,504,621 budget for the 2026–27 school year. The measure passed unanimously as Proposition I after the board considered revenue forecasts and state aid uncertainty.
Denise Wist, the district's school business official, reviewed the revenue side of the proposed budget and noted the board's levy plan. Wist told the board, "It is expected at the end of April and hopefully CV‑S will return to the 2% foundation aid." Board members then voted to adopt the budget as presented.
The budget adoption followed a slate of consent resolutions that included transfers and personnel appointments. The board also approved two additional propositions on purchases and capital‑reserve use during the same meeting that will be implemented if authorized according to the board's motions.
