The board approved several operational items during the Aug. 26 meeting. Trustees voted to renew TASB property insurance for 2024-2025 (motion by Christy Bishop, second by Tina Keen), approved Office Systems for the district copier lease (motion by Cathy Gann, second by Luke Rawlings), and authorized the Superintendent to dispose of the Maintenance Gator for fair market value (motion by Buddy Broussard, second by Tina Keen). Each motion passed by a 5-0 vote.
After a closed session to discuss personnel and safety, the board amended policies DH (Local) and CKC (Local) on a motion by Christy Bishop, seconded by Tina Keen, and authorized the Superintendent to pursue implementation of a guardian program; both votes were recorded 5-0. The minutes do not provide policy text changes or the operational details of the guardian program; those will be handled administratively according to district procedures.
