Council approves consent agenda; staff reports uptick in permits and outlines fee/position work

During the regular session the council approved the consent agenda by motion; the consent packet included public-works, financial, fire, animal-control, code-enforcement and permit reports. Staff reported an uptick in permits at Blue Ridge Crossing and said they had received 14 permits for Heritage Grove recently.
Staff also updated members on personnel and fees work: Allison will draft an ordinance to establish a finance-officer position once more candidates apply, and a master-fee schedule with water, wastewater and late-fee adjustments will be brought to the March agenda. Council discussed a recommended cleaning contractor (McKinsey's Cleaning Co.) that was local, bonded and insured and approximately $225 cheaper than the next bidder; staff recommended putting a short-term contract with termination language in writing.
